Dear news@dillinger Readers,
Past issues of news@dillinger, have already focussed on a number of aspects of the topic of "Energy". The emphasis, generally, has been on the importance of high-performance steels in the generation of energy, to permit the construction of more efficient power plants, for example, and to make the production of regenerative wind energy possible at all. Today, however, my aim in this edition's article on Energy Management is to show you how Dillinger Hütte has already restructured internal procedures, processes and codes of behaviour to ensure responsible and cost-saving use of energy.
Other topics featured in this issue include a survey of our Offshore Steels, a report on the EuroBLECH and MSV Brno fairs, and an article on the Company's new Code of ethics. Our "Look behind the scenes" features an Interview with the new Executive Officer, Sales, Dr. Günter Luxenburger.

Dillinger Hütte GTS has long been a top-league player among the suppliers of grades of steel for offshore projects. The term "offshore" is used to describe all work in which steel is used far from the coastline, out in the open sea. Only steels which are capable of withstanding the most extreme conditions are suitable for these applications.
